Longero has an experienced team of talented fabricators who work with carbon steel.  We fabricate with many types of carbon steel including: A36, A588, A709, A572, A516 and AR plate.  We have worked with more exotic materials over our more than 100-year history.

 We can fabricate according to your project drawing requirements, or we can produce shop drawings from your designs for your approval.  We are not an engineering firm.

All of our welders are certified per AWS D1.1. Longero has these certifications available upon request.  All welders are qualified to at least 1G and most are certified to 3G.  We are also able to certify to other codes as required by contract documents or drawings. 

Longero utilizes several welding processes depending on project requirements. Processes used include FCAW (flux cored wire), SAW (submerged arc), GMAW (MIG or Hard Wire), GTAW (Tig), and we offer Stud Welding Services as well.

Longero specializes in plate fabrication with typical projects including water control gates, platforms, atmospheric tanks (non-pressure vessels), casings, signs, bins, hoppers, transitions, public art projects, clarifiers, process equipment, and spiral staircases.

Longero offers full-service welding for both small and large projects. We fabricate heavy weldments up to 80,000# (40 tons).  Most of our projects are one-off or small quantity batches, in values ranging from $1,000 to more than $1,000,000.  We excel when rolled or formed steel is an integral part of a project.  We work closely with both painters and galvanizers depending on project requirements.

We use third party weld inspection to avoid conflict of interests with your project.  Third party credentials are available upon request.
