Welding

Longero is a full-service custom welding shop located in Denver, Colorado.  We quote small welding jobs, large welding jobs, and anything in between.  Our large plant and impressive overhead crane system allows us to fabricate steel weldments up to 80,000 lbs.  All welding is done in our shop (shop welding), we do not perform field welding.  We weld both one-off jobs and production runs. 

Common metals we can weld are carbon steel (A36, A588, A709, A572, A516, AR Plate), stainless steel (304SS, 316SS, 409SS, 410SS) and aluminum (6061, 5052).  Longero is a custom welding shop, so if you have a steel grade or material not on the common lists above please feel free to check with one of our project managers. 

The weld processes used in our shop at Longero are Flux-cored (FCAW), Mig (GMAW), Tig (GTAW), Stick electrode (SMAW), and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW).  We also have Stud Welding (SW) capabilities. 

All welders meet minimum requirements of AWS D1.1 and/or AWS D1.6.   Our welders can be tested and certified to your welding requirements for specific jobs as required as well. 

Since we are a custom welding shop, our crew of experienced welders has worked on a great variety of metal projects throughout the 90 plus years we’ve been in business. Some examples of welding projects done at Longero include; spiral staircases, handrails, steel staircases, ladders, ladder cages, platforms, catwalks, gear and belt guards, metal sculptures, ornamental steel, pedestals, storefronts, shrouds, sign frames, architectural entries, mobile structures, Y-sections, kilns, centrifugal housing, hoppers, air accumulation tanks, atmospheric tanks, motor covers, refractory forms, steel support frames, caissons, screens, storage racks, canopies, and pipe support racks.  If it’s not on this list, we are always up for a welding challenge.
